Love is Patient, Love is Kind…

I was recently at a funeral of a well-respected psychologist, who dedicated most of her career to troubled youth. At her beautiful service, the minister read these famous words on love which we usually hear at weddings. I realized that these are words we should also remind ourselves of on a daily basis and especially on our parenting journey. Children thrive on love. Whether we have any religious or spiritual beliefs, or not, I believe these are words we should all try to live by. As we celebrate Valentine’s Day today, it seems fitting to bring these words into our awareness. After having children, life became frantically busy. So, in order for me to continue to be effective and offer quality time to my children I simplified my life on all levels.
