Love is Patient, Love is Kind…

I was recently at a funeral of a well-respected psychologist, who dedicated most of her career to troubled youth. At her beautiful service, the minister read these famous words on love which we usually hear at weddings. I realized that these are words we should also remind ourselves of on a daily basis and especially on our parenting journey. Children thrive on love. Whether we have any religious or spiritual beliefs, or not, I believe these are words we should all try to live by. As we celebrate Valentine’s Day today, it seems fitting to bring these words into our awareness.
