Thank you to all of you!
I’ve created this Wordle as my thank you to all of you! At this time of the year, when we often take time to reflect and express gratitude, I want to thank this wonderful community. Throughout the year, I receive so many emails from all of you and I love hearing your connections to the various articles that I’ve written.
Two Significant Words that Keep Us Grounded in the Meaning of These Holidays
A dear friend of mine, and member of this community, has wisely summed up that life is all about the 2C’s: Compassion and Community. When we think of everyone needing connection and a sense of belonging, we tie this into Community. When we think of love, we can extend it to Compassion – Compassion for ourselves (because we all make mistakes and we all go through suffering) as well as for others.
During this holiday season, two of the greatest gifts we can offer, are reaching out to those in our community and having compassion versus negative feelings, such as anger, frustration or resentment towards others, including our loved ones. One way to reach out, can be through homemade gifts…cookies, crafts or a Wordle.
Still Need to Create a Heartfelt Homemade Present?
Thanks to my daughter, who learned about this at school, I’ve recently discovered the creativity of Wordle! If you want to make a nice framed word collage, a personalized Christmas card, or a personalized placemat (which could be laminated with the self-laminating sticky paper sold at office supply stores), it’s super fast, easy and free with Wordle. We all know how meaningful it is to receive a homemade present from the heart.
To make a Wordle…
1. Enter the words that you want to use, separated by a space
2. Choose your layout (vertical words, horizontal words, combination types etc.)
3. Choose your font
4. Choose your colour screen
5. Print or if you want to upload it on your computer, take a screen shot
6. Voilà! There you go…gift created!
I wish you and your families a wonderful and relaxing holiday, hopefully filled with lots of quality family time, community and compassion,
Warmly,
